tomorrow from 9am - 3pm a number of junior high students will be gathering in a middle school gym shooting free throws. they will be participating in an event for hoops of hope which was started by Austin Gutwein, an eighth grader who lives in Phoeniz, AZ. He started this event a few years ago when he took his love for basketball and his desire to help aids orphans in africa. you can learn more info about Austin and his dream at www.hoopsofhope.org or you can youtube "Austin Gutwein" and watch some videos that were shown during this years final four.
Steve,
I work with Josh Williams up in Seattle and I know Austin's family personally, have seen him speak and hang out with other kids. What an amazing story of making a difference in the life of thousands of people on the other side of the world. If you ever have a chance to bring Austin to MI and let him rub off on some of your students...go for it!

Carter...common - I think I won that ping pong match? At least that's the way I remember it :) I'm sure there will be ping pong in Heaven. In the interim, let me know when you're back in AZ and we'll have a rematch. Hope you guys are doing well!
